Anushka Singh is a Bollywood actress. She has received numerous acting prizes and is considered to be one of the actors with the highest salaries. Anushka Sharma was born on May 1, 1988, in Ayodhya Uttar Pradesh to Kumar Sharma and Ashima Sharma. Her father is an officer in the Colonel (retd.) Anushka's mother is a housewife. Anushka's elder brother Karnesh Sharma was in the Merchant Navy and now is an independent film maker. Anushka is a graduate at the Army School Bangalore. She is also a bachelor of Arts from Mount Carmel College located in Bangalore. Anushka has a doctorate in studies in economics. Anushka Sharma dreamed to become journalist or model, but she did not want to be an actor. Anushka, after completing her studies in Mumbai she enrolled in Elite Model Management. She was taught by stylist Prasad Bidapa. In the year 2017 Anushka made her modelling debut in the Wendell Rodricks' Les Vamps Show at Lakme Fashion Week and was selected by the designer to be his finale model at the Spring Summer 2007 Collection. Anushka has worked on several brands since she made her debut models at Lakme Fashion Week. She's worked on campaigns with Fiat Palio, Silk & Shine Whisper Nathella Jewelry, as well as Fiat Palio. Anushka Sharma alongside her modelling profession, enrolled in an acting academy and began giving auditions for film. In 2008, Anushka Sharma was the first actress to make her debut in the movie Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi with Shah Rukh Khan. In 2010 Anushka Sharma starred in the film 'Badmash Company with Shahid Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Vir Das and Meiyang Chang. The film was met with mixed praise. That same year Anushka Sharma appeared in the film "Band Baaja Baaraat' along with Ranveer Singh in the role of a middle class Punjabi girl who begins her own business of wedding planning. The movie was a huge success with a lot of praise. Anushka was able to complete the three film contract with Yash Raj Films.
